the mission of big brothers big sisters of southeast indiana is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. big brothers big sisters of southeast indiana provides one-to-one mentoring to at-risk children and youth in jackson, jennings, and scott counties. bbbs specializes in screening, training, and matching volunteers with children who, for a variety of reasons, could benefit from a positive, caring role model in their lives. we offer the following programs: the community-based mentoring program is the traditional big brothers big sisters program, where volunteer “bigs” and children “littles” get together in the community 2-4 times per month to share fun, everyday activities. in the high school bigs program, high school student volunteers are matched with a child at a local elementary school. they meet once a week in an assigned location at the school. the lunch buddie
