we at big cozy books are passionate about designing creative and fun furniture for libraries, schools, and businesses. we are committed to quality, hand crafted pieces that stand the test of time. kids, parents, and librarians love the idea of moving beyond tables, chairs and beanbags to create an imaginative environment for exploring the world of books. one school in particular was excited to share with us the increased interest in reading by the students once the furniture was put in. erik olofson, owner/designer of big cozy books, had been upholstering home furniture for over 27 years when a local library asked him to create something new for their children’s area. his daughter took one look at his design and said “that’s pretty boring dad. why don’t you just make them look like big books?” the light bulb went off and big cozy books was born. we have since expanded our line to include various kinds of food, sea life, landscapes, and plants. we find inspiration everywhere and are alw
