Big Sand

big sand is a science fiction virtual band, set on a beautiful but harsh desert planet. the elevator pitch? how about 'australia's answer to gorillaz' or, 'it's disney, but indie'. the project is the brainchild of musician, entrepreneur and former triple j breakfast host sally coleman, and involves some of australia’s most exciting musicians, visual artists, animators, designers and developers. as well as being highly collaborative, big sand has a focus on exploring emerging technology, innovative release strategies, creative social media and playful audience experiences. big sand's debut single, 'take me home', is a wonky, off-the-wall banger written in collaboration with aria nominated producer alice ivy. it's the first step into an immersive story that promises audiences a journey into an exciting and mysterious new universe. curious? excited? get in touch! hello@bigsand.band
