Big Blue Foundation

big blue foundation conducts research, provides advice to decision makers about how to better protect marine biodiversity, and funds conservation and educational projects. our methods have been field tested in cabo verde, madagascar, western australia, fiji and papua new guinea. by marrying traditional local knowledge with pioneering science, we can achieve sustainable solutions which benefit people and animals. we identify marine biodiversity hotspots by first conducting research with our local partners, with the goal of creating new marine protected areas. local and international students are invited to join our research projects, enabling the next generation of marine ecologists who can become leaders in conservation and sustainable development.
