bike dojo was founded in june 2009 by rob mylls, a santa cruz local, avid cyclist and former bmx, track and road racing champion. rob realized beginners don’t always know where to ride and may have trouble understanding when and how to shift. after teaching them everything from shifting, to clipping in with the right shoes, to bicycle maintenance, he saw the positive impact the knowledge had on them. they actually began to love riding. our motto is "anyone and everyone can have fun riding and no one is ever left behind." our goal is to take riders on the best rides every week and show them the most scenic rides in santa cruz regardless of skill level
