selskapet ble etablert i moss 6. juni 1991 under navnet svendsen & harstad auto. i 1997 ble fjellberg bilsenter i fredrikstad kjøpt opp og i i 1998 fulgte sarpsborg auto etter. i 2004 ble alle avdelilngene samlet under et felles firmanavn: bilbutikk1. i 2006 fikk vi en avdeling i follo og i 2015 tok vi over volvo agenturet i indre østfold. høsten 2016 åpnet vi enda en avdeling i sarpsborg som forhandler renault og fritidskjøretøy. andre medlemmer i bilbutikk1 er skade og lakk, moss billakkering, bilressurs og easy rent herzt.
