i’m karl rogerson, director of billesley research school and i warmly welcome you to our linkedin page.the research school was born out of my passion for education, and it has served as a vehicle through which to communicate that passion. billesley research school demonstrates how evidence can support school improvement for disadvantaged pupils. we help educational leads make sense of this and, as there is much good practice now in evidence, we want to show it to other schools. we are on a search for answers in helping to close the disadvantage gap on the understanding that, by working together, we will make better decisions and provide better outcomes. in terms of my own personal journey which led to directorship of the research school, growing up, i was thankful for having educational opportunities presented to me, notably access to university. following this, as a teacher in aston, birmingham, i worked with educational leaders who were real role models, and who showed me what could
