Biofilia Colombia

we are a group of biologist with an interdisciplinary experience graduated from pontifical xaverian university, colombia. our approach had been to build a social fabric, seeking different uses of flora and rescuing ethnobotanical traditions of our territory. we promote sustainable practices which integrate the conservation of native flora and the diversification of crops with cooperative actions to improve food security and the value chain of agricultural products. thus, we have been working on the construction of a polyculture system with an agroecological approach in the village of la trinidad, municipality of guasca, being one of the pioneering practices in this geographical area. in our orchard we seek to maintain conditions of maximum diversity by sowing a wide variety of plant species with various uses that attract soil microbiota and fauna that contribute to the self-regulation of the productive ecosystem. therefore, we are an investigation space where we develop new practic
