history and background bio huma netics inc. (bhn) was founded in 1973 by scientists who discovered a material that improved the ways in which plants absorb nutrients from the soil. obviously, such an innovation would have huge benefits for farming and agronomy in general: if a plant’s root system could be made more efficient, it meant the plant could thrive with less water and fertilizer inputs. technological advances bio huma netics then developed a proprietary extraction process called micro carbon technology™ to get useful organic acids, complex carbons, soluble minerals and other beneficial components from the leonardite. over the years, bhn identified many other ways in which leonardite’s base materials could biologically improve soils, plants, turf and even wastewater treatment. by adapting and refining that technology, bhn is now able to offer over 70 successful products for a variety of important uses. those include huma gro® & huma gro® turf biological soil activators and foli
