bioworld.pt is developing product-packaging combinations through collecting waste water from cleaning or cooking food industries (which would otherwise be eliminated in the sewers) and turning it into raw materials/sources to produce packaging that can be biodegradable without environmental impact, all in the context of a sustainable circular economy. we disrupt with the current packaging products by offering food based industries with a solution that will add value to their waste and turn it into a biopolymer that is safe to be decomposed and be biodegraded according to the eu rules. nutrients in the soil enable the growth of vegetables; they are absorbed by the growing vegetables. starch from these vegetables is cooked to feed humans, which may be used also to produce biopolymers. the packaging made of biopolymers will help to protect the products. at the end of life of the packaging, it will biodegrade. provided that the package is not laminated with other type of plastic or blende
