birchtree is a medical device startup company designing and developing patient-controlled products using muscle monitoring, relaxation, and stimulation technology [patent pending]. we believe this will increase independence to over 8 million people whose spasticity interferes with their activities of daily living [adl] and will improve sleep and therefore daytime functioning for over 7 million people with rls [restless leg syndrome]. birchtree is currently self funded. we have standing offers for angel investments and are currently applying for numerous grants. we will be seeking further funding options in the late fall of 2010.
