bittersweetheart is an experimental, sustainability-driven fashion concept honoring playful and intuitive materiality-based experiences. based in new york city, bittersweetheart was created by meilun yan in 2022 with the purpose of self-exploration and connection. through an intuitive and handcrafted approach, our pieces capture a raw, childlike essence while honoring tradition and history. each piece is handcrafted by us using high-quality deadstock and eco-friendly materials. through our studio livestream, we share the creative process behind our pieces. at bittersweetheart, we want to build meaningful connections with our customers and encourage mindful consumerism. by sharing, we strive to foster creativity in others and be more transparent in the making process revealing the time and efforts of creating a handcrafted piece.
