black books matter uk, champions diversity in books and stories that represent, are written by and educate on the lives of those from the african diaspora. we provide books, resources and creative and literary schemes into communities and schools. aims: to educate the wider community on the diversity of our world, through access to books written by people of colour, and about their culture and experiences. provide literacy and reading provisions to give young people the skills to develop and grow regardless of socio economic factors. create a diverse space for writers, young people and the wider community to express themselves through creative writing, literature and discussion without fear of judgement. to provide literary and creative programmes that nurture our current climate and allow space for growth and change in our ever evolving world.
