BKR Collective

bkr collective (black kings rising) is a movement curated to spotlight the importance of celebrating black excellence and amplifying conversations against toxic masculinity. the movement was launched in june 2020, as a social media activation for world social media day. the intention was to share positive images of men who are leading in their different industries, while sharing stories of resilience, purpose and allyship for women empowerment. our movement has since collaborated with corporate entities, where we executed a second campaign around father’s day, dubbed “a father’s letter” and our recent project for international men's day. the movement celebrated our first anniversary with a second project focused on uplifting men in the creative space. our impact is growing and we continue to focus on some well needed conversations around men's and boys' health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, and highlighting positive male role models. the movement is base
