Black Parents Association of the Smuhsd

the black parents association (bpa) of the san mateo union high school district is a parent’s association made up of parents/legal guardians of all ethnicity, teachers and friends of high school students of african/african-american decent. we are dedicated to cooperatively promoting quality education for our students while offering the best level of support and relevant information to those that aid our youth. for over 30 years, the bpa has helped qualified students seek and afford opportunities for higher education. our association provides scholarships, scholastic resources, book awards and vital information to students, while placing a special emphasis on sponsoring students seeking college careers in s.t.e.m. and arts. it is our goal to: 1. be a positive conduit in helping parents, student, and community stay connected 2. acknowledge academic achievement with scholarship awards 3. help secure college scholarships and assist with application completion/support 4. share resources to
