black sheep industries was founded in 2011 by wesley augustyn at the age of 22. with merely a dream, a yellow volkswagen beatle and 4 people, he offered onsite maintenance, fabrication and distribution services. he chose the name black sheep as he wanted to offer something different – under promise and over deliver – a concept that was not prevalent in the industry at the time. the name also carried personal significance, as he dropped out of high school at age 16. he eventually completed matric part-time (after two attempts) while working 80+ hour weeks as an artisan. in 2008, he started his diploma in management part-time, from which he graduated in 2015. in 2018, at age 29, he graduated with a master’s degree in business administration (mba) from nelson mandela university. his passion for people, willingness to go the extra mile and drive to continuously improve allowed him and his team to build this company from the ground up. he is a leader who inspires people to reach their ful
