established in 1958, blackbourne m&e carries out mechanical & electrical contracting, mechanical & electrical maintenance and develops sustainable solutions, and operates in many different sectors such as, education, health, commercial, industrial, community and amenity. our mechanical & electrical contracting works mostly involves services associated with new buildings or major refurbishments and extensions. mechanical and electrical maintenance takes in account all measured term contracts (mtc) and reactive and pre-planned maintenance contracts. these tend to be smaller individual works orders but these smaller orders form part of a 3-4 year contract. with our sustainable solutions department we are bringing together a portfolio of environmentally sound products such as voltage optimising technology which helps client’s reduce energy costs and their carbon footprint.
