Blackfemtech

blackfemtech is a new student tech society targeted at black female students across the uk and ireland. our aim is to increase the number of black women in technology, starting with black female students of all majors, by: introducing them to new technologies, enabling them engage with technology outside their core curriculum through open source projects and hackathons and increasing their industry awareness of the varying types of tech firms and careers in tech through events, interviews and webinars to ensure knowledge isn’t location dependent. we target black women because we believe the best way to combat diversity issues in tech is by starting from the ground up with the most vulnerable group - black women. all genders and races are welcome to support blackfemtech events and enjoy our content, we also welcome all students regardless of what subject they major in. creating we encourage members to get creative and engage with tech outside their curriculum through open source pr
