blackwood bbq is a two-year-old start-up fast casual brand that creates a way to enjoy delicious bbq in an easy and accessible format. at blackwood, we believe in time-honored values of our grandparents and generations before - that hard work pays off and that patience is a virtue. our brisket spends up to fifteen hours in the smoker. we use handmade rubs from local spice merchant, the spice house. we source our meat from familiar farms, with brisket that is pasture raised and pork that is vegetarian fed. everything’s fresh, hand-selected, hand-prepared. we do it this way because we love it, and we do it this way so that our customers will love it. we have two locations in downtown chicago - 307 w. lake st. and 28 s. clinton st. we serve breakfast (yes, bbq for breakfast - you have to try it) and lunch, with dinner coming soon. we are an ambitious team of people that are excited about the food that we are serving and feel grateful for our customers. we are always growing our team a
