blakesalbion is a platform upon which indie and/or established artists, from any and all disciplines, can step. we aim to showcase, promote and guide the work of artists online and offline, in all capacities available to us and by any means necessary. for us to do this the artist and their work must understand our vision of art as it exists in the 20tens. the manifesto art is that which aspires, however humbly, to the condition of carrying its justification in every line. art must be a single-minded attempt to render the highest kind of truth to any and all who see/hear/feel the work. art must be an attempt to find in its forms, in its colours, in its light, in its shadows, that which is essential and unavoidable: life. living, breathing, moving existence on a planet in turmoil and peace all at once. most importantly of all: art must be sincere and created with care. blakesalbion was founded by writer and creative, matt van niftrik in 2012.
