Blame the Monkey

blame the monkey was founded in 2010 by elia and naomi locardi as a way to share travel photography, stories from the road and provide educational resources to those exploring the art of photography & post-processing techniques. starting in 2012, blame the monkey began hosting post-processing workshops, photo walk events and photography tours throughout the world. in 2014 we’ll be leading photography tours to italy, iceland, jordan, thailand and cambodia. our vision for the future of blame the monkey continues to evolve as we grow and change, but our hope is that we can continue to inspire and provide valuable educational resources that engage people around the world. what’s with the name blame the monkey? the history of the name is a bit of a play on words, but originally stems from elia being a monkey in chinese astrology. monkey is said to embody the inner child and no matter what kind of trouble he gets into, or causes, he does it with a passionate sense of adventure. he follows hi
