blaquex nail art is solely founded and run by sakile broomes. she specializes in both natural nail care and nail art. she is a licensed nail technician and graduate from the christine valmy school for esthetics, skin care and makeup. blaquex is pronounced blăck - ĕx and is short for "black excellence". founded in 2016, one of blaquex's intentions is to increase the visibility of people of color and darker skin tones in the nail industry. blaquex prioritizes nail services that maintain the integrity of the natural nail and uses products that are vegan, toxin-free and cruelty-free. with this brand, sakile hopes to highlight the importance of self-care as an act of radical self-love for people of color. in addition to nail services, blaquex supports people and projects that promote mental health, positivity, self-care, relaxation, black joy and black excellence.
