BLB - Battery Labfactory Braunschweig

the battery labfactory (blb) is a centre of technische universität braunschweig and stands for an open research infrastructure to investigate and develop electrochemical storage devices from laboratory to pilot plant scale, especially lithium-ion-, lithium-sulfur- and solid-state-batteries. the research spectrum covers the entire value cycle, from material synthesis over electrode and cell production up to recycling. the battery labfactory builds on the fruitful and transdisciplinary cooperation of its members from different institutions. currently, 15 members from technische universität braunschweig, technische universität clausthal, leibniz universität hannover, fraunhofer institute for surface engineering and thin films ist and physikalisch-technische bundesanstalt conduct joint research within the blb. the topics covered in the context of battery research generally comprise five areas: 1. production research for electrodes and cells of current and future battery generations 2. d
