founded in 1993 by peter hollands and barbara sotowicz, bloomsbury minerals economics (bme) originally specialised in copper and in 2017, published a copper market outlook to 2020. more significantly however, bme is also an investor in other commodities market analysis and events businesses. since 2010, bme has been an investor in the roskill group, of which it owns 37%. markets for rapidly growing battery materials and hi-tech materials like lithium, cobalt, nickel, graphite & rare earths are a particular strength. industrial minerals, chemicals & carbon are also covered. in 2017, roskill acquired the assets of heinz pariser in germany, adding expertise in steel to the group's strength in steel alloying elements. roskill is rapidly building a conference business and is up to about 10 events per year in 2018. roskill is conducting greenfield mine project analysis for lithium, nickel, cobalt and graphite, supplies interactive cost models for lithium and nickel sulphate and also supplies
