blue cap’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for children and adults with intellectual disabilities to be educated, have quality life experiences, be respected and be a valued member of their community. blue cap has provided individualized supports and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 50 years. although located in blue island, our programs extend far beyond the physical location. we support people who reside in a major part of the south side of chicago and over 30 suburban communities. we are a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the educational, therapeutic, vocational and residential needs of children and adults. today, blue cap’s children’s services include: • a school program for children with developmental disabilities age 3 through 21 with a diagnosis of autism, physical impairment and/or cognitive delay. 9 children receive services in blue cap’s school program • an early intervention billing and record keeping se
