originally from the east coast, owner of bdc, liz dengler, migrated to the western mountains after a short four-year stint in minnesota, working as a geologist. she works for outdoor groups in the mountain west as an editor and writer. she has worked for rei, outdoor project, adventure projects, territory supply, and onx as a content editor and writer. she is also the managing editor for the national magazine published by united states hang gliding and paragliding association, ushpa pilot. when not tapping away at the keyboard, you can usually find her paragliding through the skis, mountain biking the trails in the desert, or camping in her van under the stars.
