blue forest engineering was founded in 2017 by tyler bradshaw in oakland, ca. after more than 20 years of experience in the industry and completing many groundbreaking sustainable projects, he wanted to work within a more “purpose driven” work environment, something different from the “mission driven profit first” model too common in larger engineering firms. for us, that purpose is to make the sustainable building design available to everyone, to every project and make it easy to replicate by others through open dialog and sharing even with our competitors. this is the “why” of this firm and what motivates us to rise in the morning with energy and enthusiasm to tackle the unique challenges that are inherent in doing something special and worthwhile in our work and life in general. blue forest engineering is unique from other m&p firms in that it seeks solutions to building systems designs that identify and leverage synergistic opportunities between building systems, building envelope
