launched in 2014, blue nile art is a contemporary african art gallery which showcases a range of original ethiopian artwork.today, blue nile art collaborates and supports eight emerging artists all based in addis ababa and all selected to best capture and celebrate the richness and artistic diversity unique to the ‘horn of africa’. by promoting young, emerging artists within the international art community, blue nile art hopes to project a new positive image of the country through its vibrant and diverse art scene. through this, the gallery also continues to support the local art community by allowing the artists greater creative freedom to continue producing work faithful to their cultural heritage. in turn, this enables each artist to develop their own artistic style and expression. we maintain exclusive representation of our artists and their work, with holdings of original artwork for sale in both london and addis.
