Blue Pilot Fund, Inc.
the blue pilot fund is a non-profit mutual benefit [501c4] organization run for and by jetblue pilots. the bpf provides potential cash payments to pilots down on their luck. as of 1 jul 15, we have raised over $1,300,000 and proudly maintain an amazing 0.5% admin expense ratio. fund recipients most likely cannot presently maintain a position in a flight deck for medical reasons and often have additional compounding stressors. not only for major problems like cancer or bodily injury, but even a simple out-patient issue like sleep apnea can prevent a pilot from earning their normal wage for months and sometimes years. as major airline aviators, jetblue pilots certainly don't claim to be the only professionals with unique medical requirements, but we do claim to be one of them. only jetblue pilots can receive funds but anyone can donate to the bpf at www.bluepilotfund.org.
