the blue ridge initiative is a civic organization for political reform. our mission is to confront deep-rooted challenges in global democracy while defending against new threats. the core pillar of the blue ridge initiative is measurable impact, as we aim to move away from political hobbyism towards real and active engagement. while other organizations adopt a neutral approach, the blue ridge initiative explicitly chooses to be biased towards progress and impactful grass-roots movements. we believe that citizen participation is a major constituent of good governance. at the same token, other organizations often choose specific focus areas. however, our approach is flexible, focusing on emerging areas and trends globally. our mode of action is based on thematic initiatives and campaigns, as our members shed the light on rising issues across several areas. we strongly believe in the power of social technology in mobilizing citizens towards achieving beneficial objectives.
