blue rhino art foundation was founded in 2010 by tima jam in order to provide emerging iranian artists with an international platform to promote their work. since 2016, tima has based blue rhino at the bridge of east and west in istanbul, staging exhibitions and events and introducing iranian painters and sculptors to art lovers and collectors from across the world. we believe that through collaboration and partnership with our friends in local galleries, art fairs and workshops, we can spread the word about the unique, and hitherto under-represented scene of iranian contemporary art. from our home in istanbul, blue rhino has been fortunate to work with some of the foremost among turkey’s own artists and exhibitors, fomenting the exchange of ideas and culture.
