brk ujima, established in 2020 by 3 black women, is an anti-racism training and consulting organisation working to re-imagine diversity, equity and inclusion (dei) in the workplace. ujima is kiswahili for collective work and responsibility. ujima exemplifies our approach to dei work – the fundamental understanding that genuine change will only be realised through collective effort and tangible actions. we do not believe in activities that do not tackle core issues (e.g. unconscious bias training) or that are performative. we instead focus our efforts on activities that effectively contribute to creating an equitable society and equip organisations with the tools to create more diverse, empowered, empathetic and inclusive workforces. our mission is to facilitate individuals, organisations and corporations to become actively aware of and willing to address of the challenges faced by people from minoritised backgrounds, particularly black people, as well as those with characteristics th
