it all starts with a dream: a dream to create a single centre, a single dojo, that is home to a variety of excellent traditional martial arts clubs, all working together to create a centre of excellence, a centre of health and wellbeing and budo spirit. ichiban leeds is now home to karate, aikido, judo, kendo and muay thai clubs that share a vision. ego’s are left at the door to make space for excellent teaching, training and performance. martial arts available ichiban dojo has worked hard to find and bring together the best martial arts clubs and instructors to form a unified and collaborative traditional martial arts dojo in leeds. whilst each martial arts club at ichiban is run independently, students are encouraged to train across the various different martial arts offered, to learn, improve and grow. each club recognises the limits of its art, and the benefits of cross training.
