Buffalo Green Fund

buffalo green fund has several very active programs - all volunteer-run! buffalo in bloom - mission is to promote gardening throughout the city of buffalo. an all volunteer organization, they work diligently to maintain many public gardens including the gardens at niagara square. re-tree - this coming october (2021) is going to be the 15th anniversary of what western new york called the october surprise storm – it was just that – a big surprise! the committee is gearing up for a massive planting in the city of buffalo, which continues to need trees to replace from other storms, drought, and natural die-off over the year. this planting will take place october to mark the anniversary. this is a volunteer endeavor which works hand in hand with the city of buffalo (permits, tree species, etc.).
