Buffalo Creek Academy Charter School

buffalo creek academy (bca) is a brand new 5th-12th grade, non-profit, free, public, accountable charter school serving the families of buffalo. bca's founder, dr. chris manning, is an experienced school leader and a 2018-2019 fellow with building excellent schools fellowship. through the fellowship he has studied high-performance schools and he received executive coaching. as a result, bca is designed based on the best practices found within the highest performing urban charter school across the united states. the founding board of directors came together in 2018 and consists of 8 other esteemed professionals from the city of buffalo; all of whom deeply believe that all children should have a high-quality education that leads to the option of college graduation. bca will open on the eastside of buffalo in september 2020 with an inaugural class of 112 students consisting of 56 fifth graders and 56 sixth graders.
