Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis

the bagi mission: to promote, educate and network along with providing advocacy, education and meaningful services to benefit our members and the new-home building industry. believed to possibly be the oldest organized builder group in the united states, the indianapolis home builders first formed in 1922. the organization’s first by-laws were drafted feb. 22, 1940. the name change to the builders association of greater indianapolis (bagi) came in 1969 to reflect the organization’s growing reach. the charter jurisdiction of bagi includes boone, hamilton, hancock, hendricks, johnson, madison, marion, morgan and shelby counties — a thriving region for new housing growth. the area’s homebuilding and remodeling industry generates millions of dollars in wages, taxes, fees and other revenue for local economies every year.
