building, water and earth works ltd (popularly acronymed bwe) is wholly owned by indigenous tanzanian citizens. it was established in 1994 and registered by the contractors registration board (crb) as building contractor class vii. in january 1997, the company was registered as a civil works contractor class m- i and m- ii by the ministry of works. the company is currently registered as civil engineering contractor class iv since march 2004 and building contractor class vi since 1998 as well as specialist contractor in treatment plants and water works class i since 2011. to date, it has carried out more than a hundred small, medium to large projects within different civil engineering fields. these can be categorized as follows: - construction of residential blocks/houses, office blocks, industrial buildings and schools - construction of water supply works such as piped domestic supply, municipal water works and irrigation schemes - construction of earth and gravel roads - construction
