the bure valley railway is a narrow gauge (15 inch) steam railway operating between aylsham and wroxham in north norfolk, england. the company has grown from small beginnings in 1990 to become one of the most successfull attractions in east anglia attracting over 120,000 visitors per year. the railway has a fleet of 5 steam and 3 diesel locomotives and 26 fully upholstered and enclosed carriages. the carriages are fitted with heating for operation during the winter months, notably during our popular steam trains to santa programme operating during december each year. the railway operates with 19 full time staff but is supported by numerous volunteers. the railway welcomes visits by groups and discounts are available for groups of 20 or more, but these must be pre booked. ample free car and coach parking is available at both aylsham and wroxham stations. both aylsham and wroxham stations are on a single level to facilitate easy access by wheelchair users. all trains convey carriages spe
