bureh is an ethical fashion company. we hand make accessories in sierra leone using local craftsmen, traditional materials and recycled metals. currently, our main product line is bureh belts. we use materials from local trader women and buckles made by local blacksmiths. we then convert these into cool, colorful belts. at every step of the process, we leverage our work to focus on the social impact. first, we source locally, through local businesses. we want to support the local economy. second, we train skilled labor in sierra leone to do top quality work and provide them steady income for that work. third, we reinvest half of all profits into sierra leonean businesses. we believe in the country, and we want to invest in its future.
