the burgas free university /bfu/ is a modern educational institution established with an act of the great national assembly on 18 september 1991. it is located in burgas, the biggest industrial and cultural centre in the south-eastern region of bulgaria. the burgas free university is accredited by the national agency of evaluation and accreditation and is certified under iso 9001:2008. bfu provides training of more than 7000 students /full-time and part-time/ in 12 bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in law, finance, accounting, marekting, business administration, public relations, journalism, social work, computer science, computer systems and technologies, communication equipment and computer networks. the graduates of bfu are over 18000. in november 2004 bfu moved to its new premises, and the building won the special prize “building of the year” . it is located in the city centre and comprises total of 82 training halls half of which specialised and euiped. a big atrium is
