Burghill Vernon Fire Department

the burghill vernon fire department is a private fire company that was organized in burghill in 1947 to provide fire protection for the residents of the burghill area and the township of vernon encompassing it. today, while the department is no longer in burghill, it still provides the same services, and more, that it provided in 1948. currently, the fire department is staffed by 13 members. we have a fire division and an ems division, along with a very active group of social members. we have one engine, one tanker, one als ambulance, a brush unit, and a manpower unit. we provide fire suppression, investigation, and inspection services, along with fire prevention services. we also handle requests for emergency medical services and other public safety requests for service.
