Busby Afc

busby amateur football club was founded in 1980 by alan bruce. at the time alan realised that there was a gap for locals to play amateur football. if players were from the busby area they would either have to travel to eaglesham or newton mearns so alan decided to form the new local team – busby afc. to this day the club has gone from strength to strength. the club now boasts three club sections – amateurs, youths and juniors. we have children from nursery (4 years old) right up until our amateurs and over 35s sections. we play in various leagues across the west of scotland and all we want to do is allow the players a platform to participate in physical activity at a recreational activity whilst promoting fun and healthy exercise practices. in february 2020, busby amateur football club became a registered charity with the scottish regulator oscr – our charity number is sc049935.
