Bushcraft Heroes

our team loves hosting city kids and their grown ups in our sussex woodland. we all need a bit of country air. bushcraft heroes is for any child and their grown-up, particularly for those who can't afford these kind of experiences. we’re a small community project aimed at benefitting children who are facing challenging circumstances in their lives including childhood poverty, bullying, bereavement, etc. together with their grown-ups, they are given guided woodland experiences where they learn new skills like fire making without matches using natural materials such as birch bark, shelter building, and foraging all while connecting with each other and nature, and certainly far away from any of their electronic devices. each small group is given a bushcraft pack which includes a kettle, a twig stove, a fero rod and striker, a tinder pouch, water bottle, tarp, and other equipment. we prepare a campfire cooked breakfast for everyone. for many this is a highlight. #community #project #n
