my name is brieonna hester, owner & founder of busy being social! like many of you, 2020 was a year that got my wheels turning about what was most important to me in my life. it was a year of pause and reflection that trickled into the following 2 years for me. in 2021, i started working for a tech company as their social media director. i was at the height of my career and seeming had “everything”. yet just one year in i felt more burnt out than ever before and a voice in the back of my head that was whispering to me “you are made for more”. i had no idea how or what it meant but i knew that i wanted more out of my life and a purpose for my work. in the summer of 2022, i was laid off from that job due to a loss of funding and that was the turning point that changed everything. since then, i've been doing some deep searching to figure out: what i love to do, what i am good at and how can i make that a living. after almost 7 years in the industry, i knew that i’m great at helping
