Bytown Brigantine Tall Ships Adventure

bytown brigantine, a well-established and unique tall ship sail training organization, operates a variety of year-round programs for youth and adults. founded in 1984, the foundation is dedicated to providing youth the opportunity to reach new heights through adventure and character-building experiences. tall ship sail training programs are carried out aboard the brigantines fair jeanne and black jack in the st. lawrence seaway/great lakes. winter work parties and leadership programs are conducted ashore at our headquarters in ottawa. participants vary in age from youth to adults, and programs are designed for individuals, community groups, schools, and corporate training. youth 12-14 sail on the 87'​ black jack in the sheltered waters of the 1000 islands between cornwall and kingston. youth 14+ sail the 110'​ fair jeanne for 10-day voyages and a 24-day expedition with high school credit. more than sailing, these camps and voyages challenge youth to step away from the digital and towar
