Berio Berlin

opened in 1951, café berio berlin is the oldest coffee house in berlin-schöneberg. the name “berio” comes from the italian operator at the time, frederico berio. originally conceived as an italian ice cream café, café berio berlin has grown over the past decades and now offers a wide range of food choices, from breakfast, to business lunch, coffee and cake, dinner, ice cream, cocktails … in its long history, the coffee house has seen berliners and guests of the capital come and go, including many celebrities. in 2001, for example, liselotte pulver and horst buchholz celebrated the house’s 50th anniversary over coffee and cake. we are known beyond the city limits for our selection of cakes and pastries. our evening menu changes weekly and we keep a bistro assortment of small dishes. we always strive to offer our guests something special, be it tea cocktails, vegan cakes and food, our organic assortment or the champagne happy hour (6pm-9pm). the long history of the café makes café berio
