Bc Technology for Learning Society

bc technology for learning society delivers industry canada's computers for schools program in bc. our mission is to support education, youth and the environment through effective reuse of computer technology. we achieved distribution of our 138,000th computer in may 2014. we expanded our mandate under bc tech in april 2014 to collect handheld devices which connect to the internet, and to support low income families with a student and no computer in the home. we accept donations of gently used computer electronics from government, corporate and individual donors for redistribution to our end users * k - 12 schools (public and independent) * non profit organizations with a learning mandate * public libraries * first nations communities/schools/friendship centres * low income families each year we support ~20 post secondary students with paid work experience opportunity, enabling them to bridge their book learning and hands on experience in it. ~50 high school students also
