my desire to become a physician occurred at an early age when i saw the joy that my father had as he practiced as an ob/gyn here in fort worth. after i finished my undergraduate degree at vanderbilt, i went to dallas to do my medical school at ut southwestern, then completed my residency in ob/gyn at ucla in 1991. i had the ability and the honor to practice with my dad until he retired a few years ago. i enjoy all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, from adolescent gynecology to taking care of pregnant ladies and deliveries, as well as annual exams throughout my patient’s lives. i have had the privilege of caring for multiple generations of families; mothers and now their daughters are my valued patients. i have a special interest in the advanced laparoscopic surgery as well as pelvic reconstructive surgery and menopausal medicine. my nurse, who has been with me for 28 years, knows our patients and we treat them like family.
