qmuc was established in 1947 as a foundation built on christian basic values. * we have currently about 1200 students, and 140 professional employees. * the college is located in trondheim in central norway on a beautiful campus. * we have enthusiastic teachers and an innovative professional environment. * a lot of effort has been made to encourage men to start in early childhood education and care. the share of men has increased from 10 to 21% of the student population. queen maud university college has received the gender equality prize for its successful work in recruiting men to the profession. * qmuc participates in the erasmus and nordplus programmes. it is leading network for preschool teacher training and preschool development in southern africa, namely zambia, namibia, swaziland, botswana, mozambique and tanzania. we wish to expand our international networks of partner institutions and increase the number of student and staff exchanges. the college is co-operating broadly with
