barcelona e-bikerent was started at the beginning of 2011, sparked by michela and alessandro’s ambition to shake up the concept of bike tourism in barcelona. when we opened our shop in the beautiful area of el borne in may 2011, we were the first in barcelona to offer electric bikes for rent on the market. a year later we moved to the gothic quarter where we are currently based, choosing a new shop that’s very easy to reach from the key points of the city center. the new shop is bigger too, to welcome a bigger fleet, because we added a group of city, trekking and mountain bikes to our selection of e-bikes. today we are an efficient and structured company with a fleet of more than 120 bikes, an in-house workshop, four employees and a lot of collaborators. one of our stronger points is the human factor: we give very special attention to our clients daily, and that’s why we have been awarded with the trip advisor certificate of excellence since 2013 and are in the highest ranking of bikes
